Engineering draft candidate · No effective date · Not approved for production use

Not a live policy

Owner approval, qualified legal review, production disclosure controls, immutable listing snapshots, and launch evidence remain pending. This candidate cannot be accepted as a live policy and does not authorize paid Exchange commerce.

Why disclosure is required

Buyers should know how material parts of an asset were made before deciding whether to license it. Disclosure does not judge artistic value and does not limit creators to a particular process. It is a transparency and rights rule.

Three labels for each medium

Sellers must choose one value for every included medium:

  • None. No generative model produced or materially transformed the delivered content. Ordinary spellcheck, file compression, noise reduction, and non-generative automation do not by themselves require an AI label.
  • AI-assisted. A person made the expressive work, while generative tools materially helped revise, extend, clean, translate, arrange, upscale, or transform it.
  • AI-generated. A generative system produced a material expressive or functional part of the delivered content, even if a person later selected, edited, or combined the output.

“None” is mutually exclusive with assisted or generated for the same medium.

What must be labeled

The disclosure applies separately to text, images and art, music, voice, sound effects, video and animation, code, maps or 3D content, and any other material medium. A seller must update the disclosure when a new release changes how a material component was made.

Seller duties

  • Make a complete, accurate disclosure before submitting a listing or release.
  • Have the rights needed for prompts, source material, training permissions, outputs, and likenesses.
  • Do not describe generated work as handmade or hide material generation in a minor-media category.
  • Do not use a disclosure to imply Aethera verified copyrightability, originality, or model provenance.
  • Preserve reasonable creation records when needed to answer a rights or misrepresentation claim.

What buyers should see

The current disclosure should appear on the product page and before checkout. The exact release disclosure should be preserved with the order, receipt, and library record so a later seller update does not rewrite what a buyer saw.

Disclosure is not training permission

Whether content is labeled none, assisted, or generated, the standard Commercial Content License Candidate does not permit datasets, model training, fine-tuning, generative retrieval corpora, or cloning a work, style, likeness, or voice. Only the exact license or separate express written permission from the rights owner can grant that right.

Corrections and enforcement

Aethera may require correction, stop publication, quarantine or remove a release, pause sales or downloads, notify affected buyers, consider the issue during a refund review, or suspend seller access for a missing or materially false disclosure. An honest correction does not erase the immutable disclosure attached to an earlier order.

Reporting a concern

Use the product-report action for a disclosure concern, the DMCA process for a copyright notice, or Aethera Support for private account or billing details. A report does not promise a particular outcome or review time.
