Recurring creator access

Creator Membership Terms Candidate

Proposed recurring-billing and content-access rules for memberships sold by creators on Aethera.

Engineering draft candidate · No effective date · Not approved for production use

Not live terms

Owner approval, qualified legal review, exact versioned checkout wording, production configuration, and renewal evidence remain pending. Trial-conversion and annual-renewal notices, price-change re-consent, retainable cancellation confirmations, failure recovery, and a separate authenticated guardian-payer cancellation path must be implemented and verified before this candidate can be activated. This candidate cannot be accepted as live terms and does not authorize paid membership commerce.

Who provides the membership

The identified creator is the seller and licensor of creator benefits and content. Aethera operates the marketplace, checkout, delivery, records, and enforcement. Creator memberships use their separately recorded recurring payment flow; they are not silently converted into Exchange one-time destination charges.

What checkout must show

Before payment information is requested, checkout must clearly show the creator, tier, included benefits and content, price, taxes if known, billing interval, trial terms, first charge or conversion date, automatic renewal, cancellation method, refund rule, and how content licensing changes when access ends. Renewal consent must be separate, affirmative, and unchecked by default.

Automatic renewal

A membership bills in advance and renews for the disclosed interval until canceled. A retainable confirmation must record the exact seller, tier, price, interval, policies, license, and cancellation method accepted. Marketing opt-out does not stop required transactional billing notices.

Cancellation

The authenticated beneficiary account may cancel online without contacting the creator. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless law requires otherwise. Aethera must provide retainable confirmation. Creator offboarding or loss of promised benefits may end renewal sooner and can trigger case-by-case review.

Trials, annual renewals, and changes

  • Send a notice seven days before a free or discounted trial converts to a paid term.
  • Send a notice 30 days before an annual renewal.
  • Give at least 14 days' notice of a price increase or material recurring-term change.
  • Obtain affirmative consent before charging a higher price. Without consent, cancel at the end of the current term rather than charging the new amount.

Any longer notice or additional right required by applicable law controls.

Content obtained through membership

Included marketplace content uses the Aethera Exchange Commercial Content License Candidate. While access is active, a member may download included content and begin new projects. After access ends, a member may finish and continue using a project or campaign that genuinely incorporated the content before expiration, but may not start a new campaign, sequel, client engagement, or other separate work.

A download or bookmark alone does not start a project. New downloads stop at expiration. A separately purchased buy-to-keep entitlement continues under its recorded one-time license.

Creator benefits and availability

Creators must keep promised recurring benefits materially available while billing continues and explain material limitations accurately. A creator may make reasonable prospective changes, but may not silently replace the core paid benefit, retroactively reduce an acquired license, or continue billing for an empty or abandoned tier.

Refunds

Membership charges are final, non-refundable, and non-prorated by default. This does not remove a right required by law or a payment provider. Aethera or the creator may review unusual circumstances case by case, including an unauthorized or duplicate charge, non-delivery, fraud, malware or rights removal, or a materially misdescribed or unusable benefit. No discretionary outcome or response time is promised. See the Refund Policy.

Buyers under 18

A buyer must be at least 13. One-time Exchange purchases for buyers under 18 remain unavailable. For an under-18 creator membership, a verified guardian link must be tied to the exact beneficiary account, creator, tier, price, renewal terms, policies, and license. The adult guardian must confirm legal authority, accept the exact terms, and complete payment. A changed price, tier, license, or policy requires a new approval. The authenticated beneficiary account can cancel online. Until a separate authenticated guardian-payer cancellation route is implemented and verified, the guardian payer may request cancellation through the configured support channel; that missing self-service path blocks launch of this proposed guardian checkout.

Law and disputes

These terms supplement the Terms of Service Candidate, including its proposed Indiana law, informal support, small-claims, and court provisions. This candidate contains no mandatory arbitration agreement and no class-action waiver. Nonwaivable consumer rights remain available.
